Electronic Filters


In electronics the Electrical filters are circuits that are designed to shape the magnitude as well as the phase spectrum of an input signal in order to generate a desired response at the output.
Therefore, we can define a frequency range as the passband where the input signal should be transmitted through the filter undistorted and unattenuated (or amplified to some extent); stopband filters require transmission to be blocked or the signal to be at least highly attenuated. In the frequency domain, the transmission characteristic is described by the transfer function which is given below:
